Rob Janes - Third Cornet

I started playing cornet as a young boy in the Salvation Army.

Fast forward a few years and after not playing for a while and by this time with a family of my own I was asked to go along to Rugeley Power Station Band to "help  out" but ended up on Eb Bass where I stayed for a few years.

I went along to Audley Brass where I played baritone, Bb and Eb Basses only to end up back on cornet where I have been for about the last year. My wife Jayne decided she wanted to  get back into playing with a local band full time so we both came along to Amington for a blow and here we are, once more playing in the same band sharing our hobby.
